Loudonville

Gateway to Mohican Country.

Located along the Black Fork of the Mohican River, Loudonville is the “canoe capital of Ohio” with its many canoe liveries on the river. This pretty town that sits in both Holmes and Ashland counties is a fun launch pad for all kinds of activities: canoeing the Mohican, hiking or camping, even a snow-shoe expedition or tree-canopy zip-lining. There are also opportunities to visit historical and cultural sites such as an antique grist mill, Indian arts store or experience a ghost tour.
