Winesburg

Little Village on the Hill.

The 1829 community was originally named after Weinsberg in Germany because it reminded the founders of their own home village, and they wanted a place where their fellow countrymen could do business in their mother tongue. Still populated by the descendants of many settlers, Winesburg provides peace and consistency in its quiet streets and scenic hills. The town offers a true get-away, in lovely inns, cafes and visits such as the Carriage Museum or the family-owned Winesburg meats.
